Meet the Artist

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I'm an artist with a passion for murals, illustration, and animation! Animation is the foundation of my artist's point of view, inspiring me to create art that wants to leap off the surface. As a young girl I grew up watching cartoons, movies, and reading comic books. After learning about animation, and studying it, I see movement in all living things. From plants, animals, people, everything is in motion. My art style ranges from whimsical to realistic portrayals. When I create I use a variety of mediums: watercolors, acrylics, pen & ink, and scratchboard, the essentials to capture character in my artwork.

Window painting is the more commercially active part of my art career. I paint subjects that show hints of life, evidence of thinking, doing, and interaction. In a way I look at window paintings as doing a large comic strip. Each window is a comic panel, and I use all the available space to tell one cohesive story. My goal is to create artwork that speaks and moves on its own behalf.
